Privacy policy

The Creative Marketing Collective (“The CMC”, “we”) operates thecreativemarketingcollective.com. This page explains what we collect on this website and what we do with it, in plain language.

What we collect

When you use the free audit, the contact form or the chat, we keep what you type there, like your name, email, phone number, business, website and messages. We also keep how you found us: the page you first landed on, the website that sent you, any campaign tags in the link (UTM tags and ad click IDs), the button you pressed, your country (worked out from your connection) and your type of device. We never sell any of it.

We also measure how people use this website. We do it with our own tool and we don't use cookies. We count page views, whether a page stayed open for at least 10 seconds, how far people scroll, which buttons they press, video plays, forms started and sent, and chats opened. With each visit we note the website that sent it, any campaign tags, the country and the type of device.

To count unique visitors without knowing who they are, our server turns your IP address and browser details into a code that can't be turned back into your IP address. That code changes every day. We never store your IP address.

Where your visit came from is kept only in your current browser tab, and it's gone when you close the tab. That way, if you send us a form, it can tell us how you found us.

All of this, plus a copy of anything you send through a form or the chat, is stored with Netlify, the company that hosts our website.

We delete the raw measurement records after 90 days. We keep daily totals, which don't identify anyone, for 13 months.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we don't measure your visit at all. If you send us a form, it still includes how you found us, as described above.

We can't take you out of the measurement by email, because we have no way to tell which records are yours. To stop it, turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser. To see, fix or delete anything you sent us through a form or the chat, email contact@thecreativemarketingcollective.com.

When you chat with Tech, the assistant on this website, your messages go to OpenAI, which writes Tech's replies. When you ask for the free audit, the public pages of the website you enter go to OpenAI, which writes your audit.

What we use it for

To reply to you, run the audit you asked for, and follow up about working together. Your details are stored in our customer relationship system so a real conversation can happen. If you become a client, the same details are used to deliver the service.

Where it lives

The website is hosted on Netlify. Form and chat submissions are processed by our own backend and stored in our CRM platform. Access is limited to The CMC team.
